UAE President receives General Kamal Javed Bajwa, Army chief of Pakistan Army
On Tuesday, President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Pakistan Army Chief General Kamal Javed Bajwa on bilateral cooperation and joint actions in the field of defence, to serve mutual interests.
The award was given in recognition of General Bajwa’s “outstanding efforts to strengthen relations between the UAE and Pakistan, and his role in enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two friendly nations”, the Wham news agency reported.
The Order of the Union is the second-highest honour awarded by the UAE to senior officials of friendly nations.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed spoke about the deep, long family members between the UAE and Pakistan, and the mutual interest to strengthen them at the highest levels.
He acknowledged General Bajwa’s efforts to develop cooperation and joint work between the two countries.
General Bajwa expressed his gratitude to the UAE President, and his pride in his honour, which he said reflected the strength of friendly relations.
He said his country is keen to develop and advance cooperation with the UAE.
